"Back in the Saddle Again"

After a half year away from the blog, it's time to start up again. Discipline, discipline, discipline :). This summer I am at the DMC working on both my education project and my data analysis project. I'm feeling like a well-rounded, little ole, dual-degree student now. Andy (an undergrad in our marine sciences program) is joining me for the summer. Jenn is with us in spirit and will be back in the fall when she returns from down under.

I've just survived the yearly activity known as the 'self-assessment'. It was sent off to my advisors and program director. I know why they have us do it, and agree that is a good thing for both them and myself, but it left me mentally tired. One of my listed goals for the summer is to revive the blogs, so here is the first entry.

This morning Annette and I went over my self-assessment. We talked about me being more specific in my plans for my projects. I will take a goal-objective-strategy-evaluation approach to this. Today Andrew (Andy) Millar officially joined the project. Today and tomorrow are filled with orientation type activities for him. Soon he'll start his blog on what he is doing. Right now accessing MatLab is the headache, but hopefully Steve will type to the rescue soon.

With C2C we are preparing for next week's workshop. Got to remember to change the delivery location of Monday and Tuesday's food delivery.

More on all later.
